Mags Beksinska and Jenni Smit attended the 20th International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa in Kigali at the beginning of December 2019. They participated in oral, poster and workshop sessions, presenting the results of several studies including the presentation of preliminary findings of the effectiveness of the Asibonisane Community Responses (CR) program, which aimed to prevent HIV transmission, reduce intimate partner violence, and increase HIV service utilization through community outreach efforts in informal settlements
