World Contraception Day Event took place today (26 Sep 18), led by MRU in partnership with Commercial City Clinic. In attendance were clinic staff, clinic clients, UKZN Medical Students, CAB representatives and two ECHO study participants. Myths and misconceptions on contraceptives still exist in communities and have an impact on people, especially women seeking the services or even deciding to use contraception. Different contraceptive methods were discussed and myths clarified. Menstrual cups education and demonstration was also conducted.
